ICON OF THE WEEK: FKA TWIGS

We're starting a new series of posts called "Icon of the Week" where we look for style icons that wear the best jewellery.  We thought it might be a fun idea and we would love to hear your suggestions for next week.  Starting this week off with a bang, may we introduce (to those of you who don't know)the lovely British singer: FKA Twigs.  Absolutely obsessed with this girl's style and her bling never fails to disappoint! OCTOPUSSY

This was one of our most popular posts on Instagram so far, so we wanted to share it with you and see what you thought.  The pieces are made from sterling silver and made to replicate octopus tentacles.  The design is by an independent small jeweler called Silversmith, based in Hong Kong.  There have been replicas of the work, such as a store called OctopusMe on etsy, but the pieces are not the same and lack the beauty and grace that these ones do in our opinion (though they make for a great alternative).

ERICA WEINER

Have you heard of Erica Weiner before?  If you haven't then we would suggest that you take a peek at her site here.  Between her own creations and the beautiful one off antique finds you can expect to see in her online store, she's pretty much got you covered.  We highly recommend checking her out.  Prices range from low to very high but there's something for everyone!  We've posted some of our favourite earring picks above.  Let us know what you think...

How incredible does Kate look here in these couture Christian Dior earrings?  This photo was taken for Vogue US October 1999 by Annie Leibovitz.  Take that for inspiration! What's your favourite shot of Kate?

So, this is something we posted on our old blog many  years ago, but we dug it up as it was one of our favourites and we really loved what Jasmine Pennamma did back in the day.  Her style has certainly evolved but we think that this was definitely her best look!  What do you think?
